Renew, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Just a quick Tuesday night post of one of my favorite photos Ive taken of all times. The line of vintage pieces and fabrics excites me everytime! Im a big fan of renew/recycled fashion and I feel like this one photo screams it. And speaking of recycled fashion im proud to say Im now the newest Buyer at Buffalo Exchange Fullerton. Finally getting hired at a retail store at one of my favorite thirft shops ever is an exciting! I love everything about it and im so happy to be apart of the Buffalo team. Also glad that its now Novemember, many exciting events going on this month. Just keep filling up my schedule with important dates:) xo -maritza

Thrift Junkie

     So finally a look post, which I havnt had time to do lately. This is an outfit I wore recently shopping at my favorite Costa Mesa hot spots, Dee-Lux and The Lab, with best friend and photo credit to Jr Millama. We had too much fun being the crazy thrifters we are coming across vintage designer pieces, which will be in a up coming post. But I would like to say this whole outfit, exception for the Jeffrey Campbell heels, was all thirft store finds from The Goodwill, Buffalo Exchange, and American Vintage. Lately been really lucky with finding discounted clothing and being a bargian shopper. Winter season is almost here and Im stocking up on the knits and oversized sweaters! Fall Wishlist

Ive been doing some online shopping for my Fall/Winter wardrobe which will consist of piece like these. Oversized knit sweaters, funky printed skinnies, and of course I have decided on my new pair of Campbells. These metallic midnight color have been on my mind ever since I bought my 1st pair and I think they will be the perfect color to contrast with my wardrobe. On a more serious note this month Ive had to make many big decisions on what I want to focus my life on more and how Im going to get where I wanted to be and Ive finally have a rest of the year plan. I have many exciting events and oppurnities coming up the end of this month and Nov. so keep a look out for my up coming post. My fashion career is about to take off and Im so ready. xo- Maritza

   Veronese Gallery & Cafe is my local hot spot these days. Its a quiet creative place to contemplate my thoughts and gather my creativity. It the cutest little hidden garden cafe of all time filled with incredible contemporary art for local artist to come and display there pieces. The perfect place for inspiration for design and concept themes while having a jar of sweet rasberry ice tea with a slice of cheesecake. These days with so many thoughts and plans Veronese is where I go... so if your in the area of Fullerton make sure to check out Veronese Gallery & Cafe. I recommend if your in the need for a quiet secret garden. :)

          Late night trend shopping and previewing! Just thought i'd post some of my favorites from  Diane Von Furstenberg fall 2011 line and preview her spring 2012 collection. I have to say, my favorite designer has done it again in her spring 2012 line creating elegant free flowing and sensual silhouettes but with the vibrant pastel colors.            The flow of college life is final starting to kick into mode with me. Not finding the time to post new stuff really gets to me, but lately I come across many new wardrobe findings and acessories so my goal for October will be to blogg about my findings! Just thought I would post some photots from my black-bird portraits shoots back in April that were never seen before. Since most of my life is spent at school now Ive also found some time to hit the local thrift shops with Fashion design classmates JR and Gowa which Gowa sketched this awsome picture of me from last thursdays model casting night. Just thought id show off her amazing talents for quick sketch. Even though its beginning to become winter im already in the mood for rosy pastel colors and cream whites of spring. Maybe i can just pull off those colors in winter..?
